How did you realize that your physical attractiveness level DOES impact how others treat you?

I don't know if I'm just ignorant to it but in my experience it really doesn't, actually, at least not in any meaningful way.

Unless I'm deeply mistaken I'm somewhat certain I'm conventionally pretty (Not that I put much stock in that; in fact I wish I wasn't so if people started to like me, I'd know for sure that they'd like me for me), but people seldom take notice of me or treat me better. I imagine it's due to the fact that I dress in unflattering outfits mostly, and my withdrawn demeanor causes me to go unnoticed.

But I've never been bullied based on appearance, so I guess that would be my answer. But I have absolutely zero stories to relate about "perks" or anything, because it's just never happened.
