Yeah, I have my MA in economics, I know how our society allows us to succeed and have mobility, I pay taxes, I donate to causes that help children and animals, I do my fair share and then some. Most minorities don't care so much about the homeless because we had to work hard from nothing so don't understand how someone can grow up here and do nothing their entire lives. Better things to spend money on in society. In fact, because poverty is such an issue, that just shows how much society cares about it overall. They don't. Not as much as other things we can spend on. Study some psychology on why people turn their heads at the homeless, it's natural to not want to bet on the losing horse.

That being said, I don't support the exploitation of the poor or homeless or anybody else for that matter. Slum lords and last resort lenders are unethical and amoral to me which is why I'd never support them.
