My ex (A) and her bestfriend (T) had a crazy crush on me back in 9th grade. I was flirting with both of them at the same time. When they finally confronted me to choose, I couldn’t, so I turned them both down and got with my other friend instead (who is now my bestfriend), needless to say both of them hated me. I left the state for a year, came back, and felt really guilty about what I did. I apologized to A and got her to forgive me, as for T, I couldn’t because she REALLY hated me since we had a big argument before I left. Anyway, after A forgave me, we began to talk as friends again, a year later she asked me out :) it was only after dating that she confessed to me that she was head over heels for me back in 9th grade. I was flattered but also felt like an asshole for playing them both lol
