It's a fucking psychological parlor trick. You could do literally THE SAME THING by asking yourself a question out loud and then writing it down re-phrased in several different ways, working out the question until you received greater clarity on it.
These same basic psychological "hacks" can be self-applied by simply reading up more on the subject rather than paying these useless therapists.
Seeing a therapist is a lazy solution to most problems that can be addressed 100% on your own through tried, true, timeless self exploration and introspection.
