Respecting someone is respecting that they identify as a different gender. They aren’t identifying as “something” they’re identifying as the opposite gender in society, our society which started with two binary genders, but other cultures have had third and blended genders way way back in the life of human kind. It makes life easier to just sometimes look the other way and accept you don’t know the chaos your contributing you when you deny someone’s existence. You may personally never on purpose hurt someone but your behavior enables the people that think it’s okay to physically hurt and mentally bully trans people. There is a huge suicide problem in trans youth. Be an ally.
