How does climate affect human behavior?

Let’s see if I can make it simple enough:

Facts and “hard truths” are always open to scrutiny. This is exceptionally so for the complexity of history, society and politics.

Facts have a political context, they are not independent from the social world they are created within.

It was once a “fact” that black people were “naturally inferior”.

This is inextricable from the racist society that both led to that “fact” being accepted and lead to the actions taken based upon that “fact”

By adhering to the idea that “facts” and actions can be separated, you are shadowing a basic lack of knowledge about he fundamentally social and political nature of all truth claims.

It is the same mistake Diamond makes in presenting a geographically deterministic account of colonial violence.
