How does Kavanaugh’s recent sexual assault allegation affect his chances to be confirmed?

Let’s the cut the crap. We aren’t the politicians. This entire vetting has been a sham by both sides since the start. The amount of republicans and democrats that came out for and against him within a day or 2 (multiple people with 30 minutes) just shows the only thing they cared about was which president picked him. Each side only cares about things that back their opinion that had no basis on whether he was actually qualified. Here’s the sum total of it. Trump picked a Boy Scout. A man who has now had his reputation and life dragged through the mud by a bunch of people who have once again made the Supreme Court about politics because they can’t do they own jobs. The man dealt with this crap for 3 years prior between 200-2006. That’s more then plenty of time to find out if he has any serious issues. The only new part was 2006-2018. He was even rated as highly qualified by the bar association. Contrary to everyone’s beliefs a judge who agrees with your political stances is not better then 1 who doesn’t. And this is what upset the democrats during the nomination hearings. They couldn’t get a got you moment put of him because he refused to speak about his person opinions which should have no bearing on the rule of law. There’s every reason to think these allegations are another stunt that aren’t even worth considering. The democrats are also being racist rather stupid because by many the man picked considered to basically be a Kennedy replacement who might be slightly more right. He’s the closest thing the democrats are going to get to what they want. It doesn’t matter if they win every seat that up for re-election, they still won’t win this battle. Because trump will then just say screw it and pick a typical conservative judge. The dems either get to confirm him or hold up a seat 2 & half years which will make them look really bad and likely get them destroyed in the 2020 election. This gets even worse if another seat opens up before 2020 which is highly possible.
