How does Marxism view internal differences within the working class?

There are only a few important ones.

Exploited workers, you could say true proletarians. In modern times the vast majority of these people live in the global south.

The labour aristocracy, workers who have their standards of living subsidised by imperialism and value transfer from the proletariat of the global south. They are essentially no longer exploited and wages often go beyond the reproduction of labour. This covers most of the “proletariat” of the “1st world” including most of us on here like it or not.

Petite bourgeoisie. Used by a lot of people very narrowly but more properly historically describes basically workers who live very comfortable lives and often serve functions that support the bourgeoisie. Small business owners, family farms, doctors, lawyers, independent artisans, probably can throw in some “new” jobs like in software development etc.

All these people can be considered working class technically.
