How does /r/svenskpolitik stand on integration?

The difference in views on women between a person from Kiruna and Stockholm are minor at most, whereas a person from the middle east would have a completely incompatible view on women.

I have male ethnic Swedish friends who have just as deplorable views on women as any portrayal of Muslims. What is amusing is that these men love to bash on Muslims for their misogyny.

Yet I also know many Muslims who do not have deplorable views of women. Most Muslims also do treat women with respect and cherishment, but different from how we perceive it, in their own way. But keep in mind that they are more influenced by our culture than we are by them as the majority culture always has more influence. Eventually they do incorporate our values, especially the young and second generations, as it is difficult to these Muslims who thinks, for instance, that it is okay to beat women.

Culture = values. The small differences in cultures within Sweden have barely any effect on our overall values as a society, whereas people from a completely different part of the world has a completely different set of values.

I do not get this emphasis on differences. Humans are fairly similiar across cultures when it comes to fundamental ethics. But when it comes to those ethics where we do differ, we have to keep in mind that values are not static; but are challenged and change when exposed to a different social environment. I do not see how this is a problem, but rather consider it a healthy process, where we have to train to see the world through the lens of other people and use this empathetic ability to change their views when they fundamentally collide with our own.
