In my world magic is like a foreign language where everyone has the ability to learn it but some will naturally understand it.

In my world there are 2 schools for magic users. The Magisters College of Tor Lira in the far north, is a more refined and complete teaching of magic. It teaches its students to be a help to the world through being healers, builders or scholars. As a result it charges very expensive tuition fees so only the wealthy or incredibly gifted end up there.

The second school is The Imperial Battlemage College. It is a school funded by the Aswerian Empire’s government in order to provide battlemages for its armies. It teaches aggression and offensive forms of magic but is incredibly strict so only the strongest willed students survive to graduation. Anyone can join as long as they have completed basic military training but the college is very selective about its students.
