How to enjoy traditional painting

OH that is so strange, I’m in your exact position but the opposite - I’m a traditional artist who struggle and feel insecure about my lack of abilities within digital art. I hate working digitally, but I try and force myself to do it every now and then because exclusively working traditionally limits you quite a bit.

I envy those who have an affinity with digital art so much because there are endless effects you can create if you are skilled enough. There are also waaaay more work opportunities available, such as animator, graphic designer, cgi artist....

So hey, maybe it’s actually a pretty darn good thing that you’re a digital artist. Not saying you shouldn’t try to broaden your skill set and try new mediums, just don’t feel bad if you don’t fall in love with it straight away.
