How fast should I really be progressing?

Sounds about right. Maybe you could push a little harder - I'm a little lighter than you, with about the same lifts... and I was cutting hard from May to October.

But I wouldn't say your progress is slow.

Don't compare yourself to people on here - most gym goers don't get as 'professional' about this as people with the benefit of r/fitness's hive mind and collective knowledge.

My first month in the gym, I'd see this guy a couple times a week. Pretty lean. Putting up what to me at the time seemed impressive numbers. Chatted a few times, got some form checks and pointers from him etcetera. He dropped off the radar/went to uni/changed gym times.

Saw him again just this Sunday, squatting. Crap form half-reps with 40kg less than I had on the bar for my squats.

You're doing good - keep at it! (and eat more)
