How I Feel About TLJ Hate. [MAJOR SPOLIER]

See I understand everything but the Rey's parents thing. I am GLAD that she is nobody.

I think this is because how it was done. Her parents, and why they left her, was a mystery in VII. A mystery that we were left with for two years! Then we get a vision in VIII, but no answers, and then Kylo just tells Rey (and us) in an elevator "oh, they were nobody, some drunks that sold you for cash" (paraphrasing). Doesn't feel right.

I understand why people wanted her being random, it was discussed many times. Make the reveal as a force vision during her meditation with Luke, make it significant, it was important for Rey, and it was important for many viewers. But the way it was done, feels unfair comparing to the set-up.

This is why I still think it is not a closed topic. I was in "Rey Skywalker" party right after 7, then, when we started to get info on TLJ, I thought it is unlikely for her to be Luke's daughter. And now I think it is impossible, but there is still something has to be left for Rey's backstory.
