And these people are paid a salary.

And investors generally profit more because they "invest" (you said it) and share the responsibility

The workers invest their time and effort, probably above and beyond the average employee, they have an extra incentive in that they are shareholders.

And most employees of any company want a paycheck without the hassle of sharing risk.

Clearly not the ones that choose to work for and be part of a cooperative.

The capital raising point is a fair one, but, they've been going for 40+ years and they're growing, if they want to capital-raise, banks are of course an option.
