How the focus on firearms makes us ignore the tragic black on black crime problem.

Unfortunately, your argument and the argument that "liberals" make are just two sides of the same coin. Liberals tend to overcompensate when trying to "bring light" to a situation. They end up just pissing people off and alienating the real issues at hand.

Though on the other hand, we cannot pretend that majority of nonwhite communities have a societal disadvantage because of the centuries of oppression. I can only speak for black people because I only know about what we go through as a community. But to put into context, we have only just recieved equal rights, comparative to American history. Each time they tried to be equals they were shot down... literally. This led to segregation and ultimately the neighborhoods that harbor black on black crime today. I could go more into detail about this but I'm sure you dont want to read a terribly long essay.

Point is guns are not the problem. Lack of education, school funding, job opportunities, etc. are what affect black on black crime. These are things that are remnants of when white people were considered better than black people thus what leads to white people being demonized (which I disagree with). Instead of everyone pointing fingers we have to realize that there is a systematic problem and that it needs to be fixed BUT that does not include blaming random white citizens who have no relation to what happens in black communities AND the black people who live in those communities to a certain extent of course. They still are responsible for their actions. Though they are just products of the resources given or lack thereof. I made it out fortunately, but it was fucking difficult.

Idk what point I was trying to make anymore, but I typed this so ima just post it.
