By putting State or Federal Govt workers under the "same" microscope at the application process, it appeases the tax payers.

It also leaves a thumbprint of enormous information IF an unusual event occured against the Govt, then they have more info to work with if they needed to investigate.

Corp America doesnt go thru this type of background check.

I've been in my State Govt for a short time, and I see how they run, a fear of losing your job, based culture.

I see how no one responds to my questions. Its always, I dont know, call this ph#.

I can never get a straight (honest) answer from anyone.
