Back in the day I worked at a restaurant with this girl Tupac was trying to hook up with. He was still in Digital Underground at that time. This was in Santa Rosa, Calif. One evening after work I hooked up with the girl. I told her she can't be dating other people while we were dating. I told her she needs to talk Tupac to stand down because she started dating someone else. We were at her house and Tupac was coming over. She hadn't had an opportunity to talk to him yet so this was the moment he was going to be told he can't continue hitting on her and trying to get her to go out with him. Well, she told him. Tupac was loud an DC obnoxious in public. But when it was just him alone it was a different story. Still arrogant but a real down to earth cool person. I recall seeing his smile disappear when she broke the news to him. I asked him if we were still good and he said "yea", I ain't happy about it, player. "You played a better game, I showed up late". "My bad, we still homies". He hung out for awhile and remained friends. Basically he was saying the ever popular "don't hate the player, hate the game." What's that have to do with anything? It's similar to how people are supposed to act here in CST when it comes to making comments. The player is the person making the submissions. The game is the submission.
