How good do you think you can get if you played cs full time?

So basically this is my story. Two years ago i bought counter strike global offensive. The only shooters i played before that was COD and Battlefield. The first half of the first year i didn't think much of the game, as it was complicated, but after about a year, i ranked to gold nova 1. Now this is where it gets interesting. My schoolyear went to shits because of my psychological background, and i had to drop out. During this 5 month period, i soloqueued to DMG, met one of my now best friends, and started looking at pro matches. It then turned out that my friends brother had played on the highest level of counter strike source in the norwegian scene from 2007 to about the release of csgo. That brother would later become my ingame leader.

So time flied, and i returned to school, but my dedication only became stronger. We are talking 2 hours of deathmatch and 3/4 hours of PUGS and mm each day, and i did not do it for fun. I did it to become better. About one or two months into the CURRENT schoolyear, i started playing with my friends brother who taught me the basics of high level play. I quickly went from DMG to LEM, and started analysing my own demoes. Still, i always strived to become better, something my new friend (my friends brother) noticed. So some weeks after christmas he asked me to tryout for his team, one of their players left. That meant more than alot to me, i finally found somewhere to compete.

So where are we now? We are now two months in, and i still aim for the stars, i still dedicate atleast 1/4 of my day (6h+) to counter strike. When we play i can match the scores of other players with three or four times my playtime. Sure, im not as consistent as a more experienced player, but usually i do pretty well. We are now basically qualified for the ESL Major League and we will also try to win the norwegian national league later this year.

There is something about this game that just makes you want to play it alot, and get better. And the most important thing is how you spend those ingame hours. Im not saying im a pro player, but im trying, and i have come a long way from being as behind as i was just one year ago. The ammount of improvement you can get over only half a year is immense.

I really dont care if you read the whole thing, i just think i can use myself as an example for other players out there, thinking its too late to become good this late into the game's lifespan.
