How do you guys have the energy to study certs after work?

The biggest advice I can give is to find your motivation, or what you want in life. Do you want to be stuck in HelpDesk for a while? No? Take time on SOME nights and/or weekends to learn something new. You don’t have to spend all night studying, an hour or two here and there will be sufficient. You may find something you really enjoy and then find it’s easier to study continuously.

I found that while I liked some of the HelpDesk work, it didn’t pay well enough (among other things), and I didn’t want to stay there. So, I spent time learning something new and was able to use it in my role (PowerShell) and it helped me land a promotion inside my company, and then I kept going and found a much better role somewhere else.

Also, it may feel like you’re not learning much because it’s hard to gauge where you started and where you’re at now, but keep at it and the results will show soon enough.
