How do you guys feel about MODERATE Muslims

I have lived in the middle east for about 17 years of my life. I don't get the whole idea of generalising like this, particularly The_Donald. I can easily say I have interacted with several thousand people from the Middle East. Obviously there are some dicks, but they're everywhere. Go to any private school in the Middle East that has a mix of locals and expats. Go to any big multinational company. You'll see an abundance of open-minded level headed people. The only thing I was against when I lived there was the influence of money and the lack of legal alcohol. The rich can be arrogant (not always).

I've had drinks with Muslims that fast during Ramadan and won't eat pork. I know many muslims that have gone abroad for university as well stay in the ME/NA for university. I've been to dubstep concerts with muslims, smoked with them. In my eyes they are just people, with a slightly different view on life. The Muslims I know merely use the Qur'an as a guidebook, much like Christians do with the bible. Good people exist. Modern families exist. Not everyone in the ME stones each other for petty crime - you're looking at Saudi Arabia, Iran and Yemen.

Yes, extremists exist, but you know what would push the religious to the extremist/radical sect? Lack of acceptance and tolerance. It's just unfortunate that there's a population of muslims that take every word of the Qur'an to heart and acts upon it violently. I've had many discussions (sober and drunk) with Muslims about the ISIS and terrorism and the way they practice their religion. Terrorism is not supported by Muslims. These terrorist groups people talk about: Al Qaeda, ISIS, Taliban, Al Shabaab etc. are Wahhabis, a purist sect of the Sunni Muslims. The majority of the Muslim world are against them. Elimination of this should be the worlds uttermost priority. This will stop spreading and radicalisation.
