At least you have your own laptop to work on. When I started back in 2002 (I was 16), I had to fight with my 3 sisters for computer time as there was only one computer in house (money issues). One of my sister would even unplug the computer sometimes when I was working.

No one believed I was doing anything meaningful, my mother was angry that I was not focusing on studies. They laughed when I said I could make money online. I then dropped out of college and made it my mission to make money online.

I faced a lot of abuse from my relatives. My aunt used to say, "ye kooray wala banay ga" (garbageman). I stopped visiting my relatives and focused on my work.

I saw immense success quickly. In summary, I pulled my family from lower middle class to upper class. The same relatives were now lining up to ask the 'secret' of my success and to tech them how to do it.

When they couldn't understand what I was doing (web development and affiliate marketing), many of the relatives started blaming me for earning haram money.
