How do you guys reconcile GNU/Linux's position as a bastion of FLOSS, mainstream gaming being a place where non-libre closed-source games exist, and the attempts to integrate Linux into mainstream gaming?

Yeah, keep calling names, that makes you correct! /s And I'm the dense one? Says the person making a strongman argument by putting words in my mouth and misrepresenting what I said? You're setting up arguments that I never made, only to knock them down.

I know what the saying means, yes I've heard it before. And I know what good intentions are.

>You deciding for others that using proprietary software on their machine is akin to slavery.

I never compared them. I said that they are both an example of a negative freedom, I never said they were anything alike in any other way.

>IE, you believing you know what is better for someone else than they know for themselves.

I never stated this neither, in fact I said the exact opposite. Not sure how you missed that. I specifically said do what you wish, that no one wants to take away that right.

"No one is saying you shouldn't have the right to run any software you want, they are just pointing out that closed source proprietary software doesn't respect ones freedom, in the sense of liberty, not freedom of choice."

>This is the basis behind many of the most horrific policies the world over.

Irrelevant, since you misrepresented everything I said thus far and put words in my mouth.

>"This is bad, therefore you should not do it, we're going to make you not do it by force if necessary."

I never argued for anything to be carried out by force, not once. Where did you pull this out of? I would never advocate force to get people to conform with my way of thinking, being an anarchist and all. It sort of goes against everything I believe in.

You done calling me names and knocking down strawmen?
