How the hell am I supposed to make this decision?

I had a good think about what I wanted my experience to look like for every year in college. Pick the school that had what I wanted.

One thing I found funny. There were some things that I originally considered downsides that, by the time I graduated, ended up being very significant upsides, haha.

The factors that were important for me:

  • In a city but still with a traditional campus
    • city for city life, internship opportunities, arts, etc.
  • University culture
  • On-campus resources and programs
  • Flexibility (I don't like rules, so I went for a school that didn't force me into much)
  • Greek life
  • Job placement

By the time I was comparing options, things I was not considering:

  • minor differences in prestige of major or school
  • what my friends or family thought
  • how much it looked picturesque w/ great architecture
