How was Holy Mass today?

It was...an experience. TL;DR overly enthusiastic pianist/organist playing borderline liturgically off music. (I am from Singapore. Our masses are primarily in the Ordinary Form)

My parish's Saturday sunset mass has an overly enthusiastic elderly pianist/organist (they use an electronic organ so it's either the piano or organ sound). He embellishes the hymns with sound effects e.g. percussion/rhythm/flute sounds(?), etc. However, he also has a younger protégé who played for this mass - who is even more enthusiastic.

Before the Mass, we have Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He played with the organ sound, which seemed appropriate. However, once the entrance hymn started, the rhythms and embellishment came in, even into the Gloria. What seemed a bit strange to me was that he could play the "Through him...Amen" & "Our Father" part with normal piano but he embellished the "Holy, holy" with the drum noises.

We also had a second collection for the St. Vincent de Paul society. However, that hymn was the "icing" on the cake. He decided to add trumpet/brass sounds in the 'intro' before the choir started. In my dad's words, he thought he was at one of those 60's dance parties my grandma attended in her youth. At this point, I looked at my brother and we started laughing because it was so over the top.

Basically, the music was messy, & at some points the choir didn't come in on time and the congregation was confused.
