THIS is how you introduce a young female character. No mention at all of boobs. All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy.

I want to agree with you, but I have ADHD and certain books are impossible to read because of the writing style. I didn't even make it all the way through your first sentence because my brain just refuses. I tried to read it at least three times, but couldn't. It's not an issue with difficult writing, because I can make it through most academic articles with no trouble. It's that the way I read is different from most people, so lack of punctuation or long run-on sentences ruin my concentration.

I'm not saying that authors must write with the specific goal of making their books accessible to me, but not liking a certain style isn't necessarily because you don't appreciate creative language usage. It's just that the style literally makes the work inaccessible for some brains. That's a conscious choice some authors make, and I support it, but I still can't read their work or personally appreciate it.
