How do we judge quality?

This sounds fine yet broken leaves, I don't think I have had a tea without one or two at least that happened before I even touched it. Packaging and shipping the tea surely would result in breakage?

Article starts with "These are just guidelines, not rules; a starting point for judging tea." if you're experienced, it's probably not an article for you. For buying tea online having some guideline is better than having none.

Honestly even with guidelines on specific teas, certain teas can still be fairly hard to grade visually. Farmers don't use an exact same process on making their teas. There may some difference in color but it tastes better. I've seen higher quality/grade greens in lighter tone rather than vibrant. However you could probably differentiate a tea several grades apart.

Video that Selderij linked is very good, mouthfeel is very close to Chinese culture. When I drink with my relatives they just say 'hao he' implying the mouthfeel is good. No mention is made to flavor/aroma.
