How to make the jump from "above average potato" to good player?

I agree with BlackLunar but feel adding/emphasizing a few points might help. For background I am in the same boat as you and I am slowly increasing my rating and here are a few things that I find are helping me: * Positioning is king, try to limit the amount of ships that can shoot at you at any given time, if you can't do that at least limit the directions that they can shoot at you from. Sounds simple but this thought process has helped tremendously to increase my survival * Target selection, know the priorities for your ship class eg as a battleship for me I follow the following kill priorities Cruiser > Carriers > Other Battleships > Destroyers. Having said that if something is low health kill secure it, don't assume your team mates will kill it. There was a post about it somewhere on the WOWS forums. * Learn when/where to push. Sometimes just knowing when to push / retreat makes the biggest difference. Try not to push ahead solo, either support your team or make sure you have someone to support you.
