You should definitely call animal control. A wild deer is not a pet.

You NEVER want an animal in your neighborhood that regularly interacts with both domesticated and wild populations, especially not around kids or humans. The vector for disease in this situation is incredible. That deer will transfer diseases to the people from fellow deer, or will transfer human diseases into the wild deer populations.

Not only that but deer are a population controlled species. You shouldn't remove the fear of humans from an animal that will subsequently be hunted by humans for ecosystem management. All that really does is condemn it and any offspring it has to death because it does not retreat from humans it sees.
