How to make LDR work?

I've been in an ldr of over 2000 miles for over a year. Met online, and only met irl once a month ago.

Ldr isn't easy, but it doesn't mean it isnt a real relationship. Me and my bf are really serious and are thinking about moving halfway across the country to finally be together irl.

The only thing you need is to have trust and good communication with each other. Otherwise it will fail. Visits are nice but not needed all the time so long as you have these 2 things.

If you dont like texting a good alternative would be facetime or Skype, which is something my bf and I are constantly doing together. We spend all our time together, and to some that may be too much time but you gotta figure out what works for you. It may take a lot of trial and error to see what you're good with and what is simply 'too much' but if you're serious about this relationship and they are too then it could work easily.
