I am for remain but my home area wasn't. I can see the reasons why people took a terrible gamble and it fell flat. If you are not close to the urban poor places where people have no hope or aspirations - then you would wonder. But the idea is that "they are all the same crowd, looking after themselves as the Tories so fuck them". But mainly the feeling was that they expected remain would win.

Anyone connected to the BBC gets some ire these days back home too. Once luxury London telly is now seen differently. Nigella in her pretend big house, talking about preserved lemons will rankle you have a food bank parcels. Oxbridge pisspots on the TV are not feeling the pinch and lot of them live/work overseas too. The term 'liberal media elite' is new but the feelings I have seen all my life.
