Split up your group

when i receive requests from "me and my friend need a couch" i ask for the profile of the friend to check his/her hosting references and when its a guy who prefers to host women,he will probably not host me when i need a couch so you would have to split up the group in 1/1/1/1/1 with 5 CS members with hosting references then probably the women stay in the city center,and the guys in surrounding cities and 1 day ago a guy posted "The downfall of couchsurfing" about a would not stay again reference about the expensive metro,so your advice is very nice,but would only work i guess if all hosts are in the city center if you want to meet each other.
