What if, hypothetically, having the child would cause severe health problems to the mother? Or even death? What if the mother is in a horrible financial or living situation? What if having the baby means giving the child a very crappy life because she wasn't ready for it? She should still have the baby ? What if the man/rapist involved had horrible underlying health issues that would transfer to the child? Is that still okay? I agree that no child should be punished, but it isn't a child yet.

disclaimer I'm not trying to be an ignorant POS. I legitimately don't understand the logic. If someone I love and care about were to ever be put in that situation, I'd hope and pray they get an abortion so they don't ruin their life.

Actually, I do know someone. An 18 year old with twins who absolutely hates her life right now and can't do anything with it. Who also says she wishes she would have backed out of the pregnancy.
