How long are you willing to wait for a proposal?

Is there a reason why dating him is trial marriage? 2 years and you think you've layed down the groundwork to see if you can really function together in a healthy way.....for the rest of your lives?

I disagree.

And once you get it then what? Yay? Is that your end all be all? You've married a man in 2 years, who you very arguably don't know. This mentality breeds resentment since you're marrying an idea and not trying to GET TO KNOW this person. You may want to evaluate why you desire it so aggressively.

It's paper and tax benefits, that doesn't denote connection/love/understanding/conflict resolution/respect. Until you have cultivated those things......it's just paper. And those things take time.

I was in an 8 year relationship btw.
