How long did you date your SO before getting engaged?

Yes only one visit and that’s all that was needed , we have been long distance for 2 years , he has chatted with the kids throughout so they have got to know him quite well as well as daily phone call with me . My kids are nearly 16 and 13 so they aren’t little and are very excited to move , my daughter wants to be a midwife and has already looked into college in the US and my son is very excited about opportunity for study there , here in aus a lot of kids drop out at 16 and get a trade apprenticeship which is not bad but that’s not for my son. Why wouldnt I want my kids to finish growing up there . Hmm I would come back to Australia if things went sour which I already know they won’t , I was in a toxic relationship for 12 and half years and learnt a lesson there on how relationships are meant to be. To tell you the truth I’m not political at all . And pretty sure in Australia there is some states where abortion is still illegal or only just legalised. It’s not something that’s going to make me not move because of political issues I mean we have a ton of those here too. It’s all over the world and it’s not going to stop me from living my life
