How long does a Bachelor Nation couple need to last for it to be considered a "success"?

If they don't even make it to a year, I would think the lead picked wrong or the F1 just wanted to win and not to be with the lead forever. I get that sometimes things don't work out, but if you can't even make it a few months, you really just picked WRONG or didn't try. Some weren't even together anymore by the time they did the ATFR. The new host is one of them- Jesse and his final pick (whom he presented with a plane ticket to visit him instead of a ring... he wouldn't even bother himself to make the effort to fly to her) broke up within a month, and it was generally known at that time he just wanted exposure and fun. He was NOT looking to get married.
