How long should it take to get over someone you’re in love with? And is it wrong to date others while you’re still in love with another person?

So I went through something similar as of recent. I ended up falling in love with someone who consistently kept telling me he didn’t love me, didn’t want to marry me and eventually decided to call whatever it was off. After that, I started dating and ended up meeting someone significantly better in every way - more attractive, smarter, retains close friends, amazing at having conversations (I always thought this was my fault with the previous guy until I spoke to more guys and realized it’s actually his) as well as just overall more fun, open and loving. Regardless of him being better in every way, I still loved the first guy more. At the end, I decided it wasn’t right for me to see the other guy despite being better in every way because I was not over the first guy. While the duration is no where compared to you, maybe you should consider the guy you’re currently and his feelings. How would you feel if you were in his position? Hopefully that’ll help drive you into seeking the right action.
