How long should it take to see results?

Meditation is something very fragile, very delicate, it is like a morning breeze, the fragrance of a flower, it is like stealing your lover's heart. You must handle it with great care, so that when you sit you sit with great softness in your heart, do not become hard with the mind's desire to control and conquer, nobody has ever reached silence that way.

Sit and be open, sit and surrender, sit and let go. Open yourself like a flower opening its petals to the sun. Then you will be empty, and one day, sitting silently doing nothing, a soft cosmic breeze will happen through the room that you are sitting, and then the you that you used to know will be blown out, and the flowers showered.

All effort, discipline, willpower, anger, control, fighting, are of the ego. They strengthen it. Make you heavy. You suffer. You fight. You start to enjoy the pain. You laugh as it burns you inside. Defiantly you declare your victory to the whole world. This is not right. This is not the way.

Do not fight with your mind or yourself. Surrender, and you will be easy. Allow, and you will be at peace. Let go, and you will be empty, on the very first step. Just one step over the cliff, but you are so light that you will fly.
