How long should I train for my first Ultra (50k)?

I ran ultras between 2013-2019 and then did absolutely nothing until 45 days ago. I went for a run and couldn't even get through 2 miles. I felt so pathetic so I signed up for a 50K that's coming up next weekend.

I jumped right into the last 7 weeks of a plan and allowed myself to walk the mileage until at first. I stuck to it and completed the 22 mile longest run last week and now tapering/recovering. My cardiovascular system is responding fast but bones and joints need much much more time for this sort of mileage.

Mentally I've proved to myself that I can do the 50k but I may DNS it because I don't think it will be good for my skeletal system.
