How many of us have cheated-- what were the circumstances and do you regret it?

When I was 20-21 I dated a guy who was 26-27ish. I only agreed to be in a relationship with him because I rebounded on him and after a while I felt obligated to agree to be his girlfriend.

I was pretty miserable with him, he was controlling and jealous... the kind of guy who would blow up my phone when I was out with my friends and demand to know whether I was talking to any other guys.

I tried to breakup with him on several occasions, but he'd throw fits and refuse to leave my apartment until the early hours of the AM, when I would be so tired I would just give up and take it back.

So I made out with the guy he was a rebound for on a few occasions. Never had sex with him, but I'd still consider it cheating.

Despite the circumstances, it was a shitty thing for me to do. I know better now, though. I would have handled it better.
