How many twisted portraits of Christianity and Christians can you think of in our entertainment?

Imagine a group of white supremacist KKK members were brought before a black court judge and the judge says "is it true you've made home-made films that portray black people as apes and that send the message that all black people are rapists and you've allowed children to view many of these films? Is it also true that you've taught science in schools which proves black people are evolutionarily inferior?"

The KKK members all reply "Yes" and the judge says, "I sentence you all to a slow and painful death. In fact, I believe all people who do what you do should be killed in like manner."

Then one KKK member stands up and says to this black judge:

I think your views are disgusting and delusional (and so do most sane people). However, I don't think you should be killed and I don't think you should be tortured for it. If you were to die my reaction would be one of horror NOT laughter. That's the difference between me and you.

This KKK member also adds: "I'm morally superior because I'm not the one sentencing people to death for mere words and opinions."

It's a nice sentiment, but the situation isn't as simple as "The KKK member doesn't want the black judge to die, but the black judge wants the KKK member to die, therefore the black judge is in the wrong and the white supremacists are morally superior." It's very easy for that KKK member to play the victim card when someone wants them to be killed, because they're the one who constantly aggravated people in the first place.

Also, if gays or atheists are Muslims had been portrayed anywhere near as badly in the media as Christians have been, I would have been the first to stand up for them. So why is it that when it's the Christians who are insulted and antagonized none of them did anything about it, and in fact people encourage it?

For this reason, people deserve to die. This doesn't necessarily mean I have anything against you personally though.
