How many of you will actually switch to PES? (x r/pes)

I don't think there will be a significant migration. PES could be a much better game, but the majority of consumers are so enamored with Fifa now it would have to be cataclysmically bad for people to really take notice. Fifa are so good at marketing their product, that PES never really gets a look in. Factor in the fact that the majority of your friends will be playing Fifa in a community that thrives all year and I'd find it hard to switch to PES.

Also the majority of my friends that play Fifa don't really see the issues that are so feverishly ranted about on the trawls of online forums. Because they - like the majority are casual fans, so only glaring issues like GK AI are their main concerns.

As for me - I wont buy PES until it comes down in price - because I can never justify it. Whilst the gameplay has been on an upward curve for the last few iterations, everything outside of the gameplay often feels prehistoric compared to Fifa, and year on year I find myself going back to Fifa after a few weeks of PES. I am not a fan of the bland and poorly designed career mode of PES, My club was OK, but I felt it was to constrained and could never get into it like UT, and outside of that, you've modes that underneath the in-my-view horribly designed UI are fine, but fail to live up to Fifa both in terms of accessibility and population.

You can argue - as many do, that PES is for the thinking man. But I'd disagree. Look outside of Ultimate team, commit yourself to playing a certain type of football and you'll see the freedom to play your way is there. Whilst it's easier and the game is tailored to sprint with Doumbia all day - if you are good enough, it's more than possible to orchestrate the midfield with players like Iniesta and David Silva.

PES does have good point's though, and it can be more realistic, so I hope it will continue what has been a long road back to superiority of the football gaming market, because a good PES is good for the consumers.
