How many years does it take to get to this level of playing?

Okay so this is a pretty subjective topic, but I will try to give an objective answer. As someone who is currently in music highschool (I don't know how you call it in your countries, but this is my 10th year of learning the instrument) I can tell you that me and other guitar students are told that this isn't especially good playing. Instead of this, we have been introduced to some great guitarists like Marcin Dylla, Lukasz Kuropacewski, Julian Bream, Gabriel Bianco and so on. They are all very different performers with different aesthetics but one is the same - many hours and years of practice and whole lotta talent. Someone can master something in 3 hours, while somebody else can master it in just one hour. It really depends on the person. But if you are just starting with the guitar, I would highly recommend you try listening to some high quality interpretations of the above guitarists, and not just some mindless caprice 24. on a classical guitar, because simply "shredding" it, is not the point. Best of luck with your playing! Below I will put some links if you fancy listening to them:
