How has the migrant crisis affected your area/country?

The most obvious difference is the number of 20-something young men wearing urban, or "gangsta" if you will, clothes. Before barely anyone here wore it, honestly Germans aren't into it that much so it's easy to notice.

The main railway station has become a dump. Algerians sling drugs there, cops bust them, a week later they're there again. For some reason, the scummier asylum seekers flock there and sit around. They've yelled obscenities at my wife (she can speak Urdu so she understood them) a few times.

A number of young, tanned men standing around in the malls, just looking at their phones skyrocketed - as in, before it was zero. I don't know why looking at phones in a mall is a thing for some people, but for some reason it is.

My employer takes in a steady supply of apprentice asylum seekers. The first one turned out to be a real superstar and got promoted very quickly. The ones that followed didn't get through the probation.

The Döner shop down the street got three new cooks/delivery guys who are asylum seekers, all of them Pakistani. They don't speak much German so they usually mix up the order a bit, but they make real good food. The delivery guy kept asking my wife personal questions when he was delivering food once, like if she's single and where she works. She slammed the door in his face and complained to his boss.
