How come more Americans know about Antifa but don't seem to know who the Proud Boys or other far-right groups are?

I think it comes down to sheer prevalence. Antifa has been very vocal and prevalent in the past few years, mainly from what I can tell as a result from the 2016 election and leading into it. They are way more public, and more than that they are able to be public because unlike the proud boys, when they go out to protest they won’t be immediately counter protested. The Proud Boys have not gained any substantial support as far as I can tell, especially compared to Antifa, which is prevalent on most mainstream media and social media.

But I also think that Antifa has been identified through the likes of more independent journalists (As in journalists and commentators not associated with the likes of CNN, MSNBC, or FOX) who have been very vocal about Antifa on Social media like YouTube.
