The governments adivsors believe we are in a good place. They seem to believe they are in the position to now relax the lockdown, without the R0 level rising above 1.0.

They've outright refused to repimand the flouters because they believe they are the minority - whether they are or not is another story.

I personally believe the government are fiddling with the numbers anyway and have the ability to make case/death numbers higher or lower, depending on what the agenda is. The agenda is now 'lets get back to work' so don't be surprised if the numbers continue to fall, regardless to what happens. The press arnt calling it 'Magic Monday' for nothing.
