How much does everyone spend on food PCM

It really is man. If you look at stuff like cheese and other dairy products you typically run 2-2.5x the cost for the exact same brands you find down in the states. Meats like chicken breast and ground beef are pretty brutal pricing wise too, and typically will run you 1.75-2x the cost. Then other stuff like eggs, peanut butter, and bread are about ~1.5-1.75ish the cost. Most fruits and veggies are about 20-30% more expensive I guess too? But the absolute worst is liquor prices. Expect to pay 2-3.5x or even more for the exact same brands at the government sanctioned liquor monopoly that is the LCBO. This isn't even factoring in the 13% provincial tax Ontario has.

It's nice that you don't have to worry about major life event costs as much, but fuck, unless you eat bulk stuff like rice and beans with some frozen veggies everyday then expect to pay out the ass for food when you live there. You basically have to cut out meat, eggs, and dairy from most of your meals if you want a reasonable bill if you buy stuff full priced.
