How much house can I afford Calculator - BS!

just curious, you dont have any kids i assume? whats your total monthly payment for the house (principle, interest, property taxes, insurance, etc.)? i make a combined ~160k with my significnat other and i cant imagine getting a 770k house. but i realize california its just a different beast. you are able to cover that big monthly payment on 160k and max out retirement?

do you also feel like you have leftover money each month or not too much? how do you have 3k leftover to spend on monthly expenses on top of maxing the retirements and with what i assume must be a ~4k total housing payment?

i guess its very dependent on lifestyle and if you dont have any kids to care for
