How much mileage is too much mileage on a 2006 Honda Jazz?

That service history is key. The engine isn't what you need to worry about in cars with that sort of mileage so long as the basic engine service schedule has been followed.

You shouldn't go into buying a car with that sort of mileage with an assumption of absolute reliability though. It will have issues - it's done a lot of miles, if a part hasn't been replaced since it left the factory it's likely to fail if it's an item that wears. UK climate and corrosion tend to force replacement of certain parts before long, it's near impossible to avoid. The Honda garage have probably already replaced some stuff, is there receipts for work done?

It'll be a reliable car though more than likely, don't be put off but there are particular items that will more than likely come up particularly if they haven't been replaced already. Think suspension more than likely, control arms (corrosion) and bushings being very common in all cars. What was the MOT advisory? There are some items that can quickly add up (subframe/lots of suspension stuff at once) and sting quite hard with a used car but it's also kinda a cost of running a car, particularly with our wet climate and strict MOT requirements.
