How much money do you save each month (or year, if you prefer)?

Very, very few companies provide any sort of pension whatsoever. Mine does not.

The government used to pay significant pensions for its civilian employees, and people think they still do because the old people they know who are retiring still get one, but new employees now do not get a meaningful pension. The military still does.

Some percentage of the first $137,700 I make is taxed to provide me with a small social security pension when I turn 62-67, but this is not enough money for me to maintain the standard of living in retirement that I would like.

My goal, generally, is to have approximately $10 million in investments before I retire.
