Was 1070pm on 2400 a month income, my wifes. Now that I have a job and my wife got a raise we make 83k a year together. Sadly my landlord found out about my nice new job and decided to raise rent to 1493 on the same property.

We can't find a place though because now we make too much and any place we find will cost the same as before (43% of income) so we don't have much of a choice but to stay here and take it up the ass.

inb4 its illegal etc. We know how illegal and fucked up it is, but we can't find anything to rent, we actually feel forced into buying at this rate, although this is probably just as hard as finding an affordable place.

As soon as we leave I'm more than likely reporting my landlord to the rental comittee. We've been fucked over hard.
